Pruett Dermatology, a staple in the Key West community for over 25 years is expanding
A new doctor, new physician assistant, new office manger and staff are a few of the enhancements to Pruett Dermatology. Dr. Darel Pruett is an experience board certified skin doctor and Dermatologic Surgeon who has been serving the Florida Keys community for over 30 years.
Dr. Pruett made it his personal mission to provide the highest quality of Dermatologic Services by ensuring each patient that visits the practice receives the personalized attention and care that they deserve.
Based on patient demand, Pruett Dermatology is expanding! The Key West location will now be open five days a week to accommodate new patients and additional procedures.
With this expansion, Pruett Dermatology will be welcoming new team members! Kelly Balestra, PA-C joins the practice with eight years of clinical experience in Dermatology. She is the second physician assistant to join the Pruett Dermatology Team. DeeDee Vazquez, PA-C has been practicing at the Islamorada location and has more than 13 years of clinical experience in the field of Dermatology.
A talented addition is Dr. George vonHilsheimer, a Board-Certified Dermatologist who completed medical school at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. After completing his studies, Dr. vonHilsheimer, completed his residency at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Dr. vonHilsheimer is a fellow of American Society of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. His specialized training in Mohs surgery, chronic skin conditions, and cosmetic dermatology makes him one of the top Dermatologists in the Florida Keys.
Dr. vonHilsheimer notes that "the health and appearance of our skin can dramatically affect our self-image and how others view us. I've had the opportunity to practice and teach dermatology in a variety of settings, literally all over the world. I love all aspects of dermatology, whether it's fighting skin cancers with micrographic surgery or smoothing someone's wrinkles with lasers. There's nothing like helping patients with their skin."
In addition, the practice will also be offering a range of new services including cosmetic dermatology treatments and procedures, such as:
